If you do have a rabbit hole segment, I suggest 2 parts to it: Randy and his rabbit hole story and Bill trying to outfox Randy with a rabbit hole question. Mr. Fincher’s interview was a delight. He was excited and honest about his horse and described his quirkiness with affection and a dry sense of humor. Also a delight- besides watching Senor Buscador win-was watching Junior Alvarado’s family and dog react. Junior said they were watching the wrong horse for most of the race. I was really rooting for Senor Buscador and Book’Em Danno. Of course I liked White Abarrio and National Treasure. There Is always a reason when a horse doesn’t show up for the race.I saw a clip of him in his stall maybe the next day and he was full of himself and unconcerned about his performance No regrets for White Abarrio. Mr. Lucas’ crafty and aggressive moves reminds me of “when good he’s very very good and when bad, he’s horrid.” Althea never regained her form after his aggressive racing schedule with her, and,unfortunately, as a broodmare she died after broadsiding another broodmare in a paddock accident, which had nothing to to with racing of course, but was a sad ending to her life: . As I recall, HISA made Mr. Englehart whole financially after this investigation. To me, HISA either has to test at the sales or have segmented hair testing as a matter of routine in these types of situations if the initial tests are positive.
