Trainers work with wild horses for 2024 Meeker Mustang Makeover competition

Every March, horse trainers of all ages gather in Meeker, Colorado, for the Meeker Mustang Makeover, a 120-day competition to gentle and train wild horses. Horse trainers Clara Phillips, Eric Pfleuger, and Sydnee Julian all competed in 2024 and trained their mustangs, Johnny Playboy, Pearl Snap and Hoolihan, together on the same property for that four month period.
