Puppy: Stubborn dominance Choke & scream Acts like the world is coming to an end Being overly dramatic Gives owners Hell Preacher: Sends warning signal by growling twice Ingests stick then SNAPS at stubborn puppy Totally holding back knowing it’s s puppy Rolls around on the grass LESSON OVER , WILL RESUME AS NEEDED MILD TO SEVERE WILL BE ADJUSTED TO HOW THE PUPPY QUICKLY LEARNS CRUCIAL TRAINING meanwhile... I showered my lab/pit mix puppy with praises & a treat for sitting after numerous requests. Love your channel, gorgeous dogs! 🐕🐾💋💜

I'm so glad for this video. It is so raw and real! So many other "training" videos look staged or done with puppies who have been trained a little bit before being taped and it is not helpful. Your video showed us a completely untrained puppy and even though he was stubburn (and it wasn't perfect... it shouldn't be) at least we get to see that it's not rainbows. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well, I just want to see more of these raw videos where we see training in the process. Seeing other videos that make training look easy because the puppy listens after 2-4 attempts is not helpful. It actually delusions people into thinking training is easy and is always successful after 1 session (which it is not ;()

I love these vids for the same exact reason I just got a pup and few weeks ago and it's the first time I've brought a baby around my grown dogs so I was nervous I didnt know what would happen and the times they snapped or growled at him I needed to see if that was normal or if I should be concerned or intervene but looking up these videos I've realized it's nothing to be concerned about it's just how they teach them so I feel more at ease
@jasmineortiz64824 жыл бұрын
I mean besides the fact that they sometimes get annoyed they really like him and my female dog actually has been mothering him so I think were good 🤔

These dogs are definitely an amazing breed. I love watching videos of people who love and care for these dogs in the proper way. I’ve learned a lot. I wish people would realize that they (the human) needs to be trained before getting one of these dogs. The dogs need a very strong alpha person for these dogs to thrive ❤️

A chain collar is to be used with a dog on your left side and and it is not to be kept in a choke position. It's a quick pop until the dog learns to give to the pressure. It snaps the brain into paying attention to you. When putting a choke chain on always hold it up in front of the dog so it makes a "P". In this position with your dog/puppy on the left it has a nice slide and release. And just like with horses, NEVER wrap any rope or lead around your hands or arms.

The choke chain part is unnessiary especially when you can't keep up with making sure the placement is right. The more the choke chains are low on the dogs neck and they pull it's causing damage I heard them choking a little. I literally trained my dog not to pull with a standard harness and she was a bad puller before but I found a good technique to stop it. Each time the dog pulls immediately turn in the other direction quickly to get his attention on you.
@helenat77945 жыл бұрын
I was wondering this also. I have no experience with owning dogs but I grew up with an alsatian. I was always told choke chains were advised against for young puppies? I understand these are obv strong dogs but I'm still curious. I've a lifetime experience with training horses though and the gentler aids you can give to start with, the more sensitive they will stay. I'd love to hear her thoughts on this x

If they are novice owners, I wonder why they got a pup that is this dominant and excitable? Seems to me they might have been better off with a more submissive, more laid back guy or gal. I realize that's water under the bridge at this point, but assuming they got the pup from a responsible breeder, perhaps the breeder didn't do a great job of making a match here.

Hey Rachel! I have a question for you. If you want/can maybe do a video showing how to pick a puppy that is right for a person if it matters. I assume that a more dominant puppy would not be ideal for a new dog owner but i could be wrong. Just a thought :) have a great evening! :)

From what I understand they are known for their dominance and at times stubbornness. For sure I would never suggest this dog for a first time dog owner because you can't afford to not have control over 120 lbs of power.

I'm really happy that the owner is comfortable enough with you to come to you when they're having trouble with training. Bottom line is you want a well behaved 80- 100 + pound dog in the end! That's really what matters, and it's great that they're coming back to you. I wish you would consider keeping your pups a bit longer then 8 weeks as I think they would benefit from your pack environment (Although it would be slightly chaotic for you) they could use an extra two weeks with the pack laying down the law and teaching them social skills

Thanks❤️
