So many hikers struggle with different types of pain and injury. This is bad enough in day to day life, but when you have a big trip coming up, this can cause all types of stress!
On one hand you want to give your issue the space it needs to recover. On the other hand don't want to be wasting previous time with your training (and end up being completely underprepared on your adventure).
So to help ,this video goes into some simple strategies and approaches to help navigate this situation. And talks through how you can work your training for hiking around whatever pain or issue you may be facing.
Inside the video we will cover:
The areas of training every hiker wants to be working on (even if they are restricted with pain or injury)
Some simple ideas on how to improve your fitness when you are restricted from hiking and walking
How the 'crossover effect' can help your leg strength (even if you can't train one side of your body)
Some simple ideas on how to best prepare your body for the specific challenges of hiking (when you can't get out and do much hiking)

What a great video- super useful tips ! Can you please make a podcast/video on how to prepare for a longer multi-day trek, where the knee pain could start after 3-4 days of walking… what to do if the knee pain becomes worse while doing descents in the middle of the multi- day trek ? Thank you again, for sharing all this useful information. You are doing us a great service !
