Consistent from most protection trainers. Usually prey work can be done with the handler and once defensive work starts it's on the decoy.

just adopted a 3 month old malinois from the shelter recently. Both the shelter and I thought she was German shepherd. It wasn’t until later I realized she was def a malinois. After doing research, I understood these are not good dogs for first time owners, which I am. I’m doing all the research to make sure I raise her properly. She’s attending puppy classes to socialize her early with other pups her own age. Later when she’s older I’ll enroll her in the k9 training classes for young adult dogs

Dont get desperate I rescued a 6 week old belgian husky mix, and she is doing great as a pet, I walk her everyday we do sprints, play fetch and do obedience training, some agility, get creative play tug of war and you should be fine, I found out my dogs parents are just backyard pets and not a working line dogs even dou husky and belgians are working dogs which is why I give her something to do everyday, is not like you have to hike a mountain everyday, she is 2 months and half old right now and she is doing amazing, but is good you looking into the channel to pick up what works and if your pup is too much for you look for help god bless

Hello sir Robert! I've been watching your videos for quite a while now and I'm learning quite alot. I have something to ask, should I socialize a future protection dog/guard dog? Wouldn't socializing my dog make him/her less effective in protecting me and my family? I hope you get to answer my question. Thanks!

No... A good protection dog should be a well socialized dog... Any dog can bite... But protection training give them an off switch... Eg: military dogs are well socialized they don't go bite someone just because they don't know that person... But they can protect when the need arrives... SOCIALIZATION IS CRUCIAL FOR EVERY DOG So if your dog is socialized... do more... Edit : and NOT every dog can do perfect protection training Just like every dog can't be trained for military

I have two cute street dogs. We are raising them from their birth. They r 6 month old now and they r completely untrained. My question is how to give them (sit, stand, come when called, and others) basic training at first time??

@@ivanhacks lots of people do that. And they are happy with us. There is no problem with them here. They are well socialized with strangers and they are so comfortable here with us. So mind your behavior. And thanks for your grate advice

@@ivanhacks im a first time dog owner, got a 8 Month old mixture between a Rottweiler, boxer, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and a border collie. He's so well trained everyone who meets him compliments us and him. This is because of Robert and a few others KZbinrs. So yes, KZbin is enough to give your dog a good life, even tho you dont have a professional trainer, nor any previous experience with dog training She's trying and looking Up dog training, and clearly is the right place. Have some respect and help, rather than being toxic.

hi Robert, my dogs are never allowed to do this. always have a dog in the team, who had bitten former owner, other people etc. I do not allow them to bark at people, because a dog who was not properly stopped and know how to bite real holes, is possibly dangerous. happily have now a dog that is allowed to bark on command, because is stoppable please always tell interested people, who does this bite training, the most IMPORTANT point is: stop the dog, be able to stop the dog, and do it if not, they will probably end in very bad circumstances, I know it mostly put down and it’s never from the dog, it’s from its stupid proprietors
