Good morning, I use not a cord on my lure, but leather. Memej burns her fingers as it lengthens and shortens. You are doing an excellent job with lure. Have a nice day.

An overall good video, and nice to explain much about swing lure, but compared to simular videos, im really sorry that i cannot thumbs up this, and here is the reason why: i was putting what i learnt into practice, but didnt realise i wasnt doing it correctly until i watched another video that actually broke down step-by-step of the processes and explaining what to to AND what not to do and why! There is no indication in this video of hand movements, HOW to "launch" the lure, and HOW to swing it around, and HOW to draw it back in.

Glad you like the video dude, the thing is when you hang out with falconers and people that train falcons, there is no right way to do it, and if you want a Step by step guide maybe birds arnt for you. Lure swinging is an art and no falcon flys the same, so take as much knowledge as you can and master your own skills 💪💪💪

Hi man, what a nice video. I am watching the rest of your videos but with this one Im wondering if lure training can be donde with the harris hawk??? Or if this bird (harris) can be introduced to lure/luring. If you have the time to answer I would really appreciate it. Gretings from México

Hi mate really glad you like the video share round like crazy,😀 it all helps the channel. Doing a Harris hawk on the swing lure Is not recommended as they fly and hunt abit different to a falcon 😀

You know you are luring good when the falcon tries to catch the lure with his legs. Your falcon is just passing by you. Wrong luring
@Hawk-riders4 жыл бұрын
Well yer some falcons do do that but not all, all falcons fly differently, lure training a falcon is about enrichment stimulation and fitness, there is never a right way or a wrong way and to have that mind set in training animals is wrong
@Bluren214 жыл бұрын
@@Hawk-riders my mentor, an old expert falconer, once told me that a falcon see the lure as a real prey. So you are luring good if he tries hard to catch it, not just passing by and observe. You have to make sure he stretches his legs. I am not more expert than you. I just want to share what a very expert falconer taught me.

@@Bluren21 you are not entirely wrong either ren as he's not using the stick to pull the lure in but using his hand instead and this takes much more work and is less graceful. The push and pull must always be done with the weighted stick and never with the hand that holds the string. He seems like a nice enough guy but yes he's not doing it correctly even though he is right that it is about exercising the falcon but has he trained any from scratch himself? Pre trained birds are easier for beginners to lure but one that you are raising yourself will quickly become bored if it is not close enough for him to reach out at. The game needs high stakes for them.
