My finishing is good but I need it like almost perfect. For eg in a match I need at least 2 (most of the times 3) good chances to score and that's what lets me down. Also my touch for eg touching the ball and passing is poor cuz I'm not confident so I need to learn. So I'm watching this vid and seeing how to finish. Anyone that can help I'm grateful. Some facts: age:15 height :6ft+ (might be 6ft1) weight: 63kg speed:11.63-12.5secs (in 100m)

+antisora60 it's not as easy as it sounds. In a match u don't get chances and when u do u have to finish it.

muhammad40000 yeah but you can't score if the ball doesn't go in

+muhammad40000 Repetition is key. If your touch on the ball is poor then you need to practice more. It's like if you go into a test in school without studying, you're probably not going to do too well because you didn't prepare. Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong. Take a ball and go to a brick or concrete wall and just pass against the wall (if you don't have a friend who plays) over and over. There are many different exercises you can do alone to improve your touch. Your confidence should rise once you know you're able to control a hard pass and finish like these guys do. Also, just have fun. Having fun and being relaxed will improve your touch on the ball due to lack of nervs. Being nervous can be associated with lack of confidence. Hope this helps.

Agree with above comment. Also try playing with a tennis ball, especially when kicking the ball against a wall and try to play with both feet, left foot, right foot, used to do it hour after hour. Playing with a tennis ball, especially when dribbling the ball teaches you ball control. When at school in the 50s and 60s, we always played football in the playgrounds using a tennis ball. Also teaches you to hit the ball properly by getting your foot OVER the ball, thus keeping the shot low.

Personally I wouldn't of used 'masterclass' as a description as this is all unopposed. Now granted, this would work against mannequin united, but how often do you see a defender A) Switch off and allow you to get a touch in the box literally 1 yard from him / her and B) Allow you to shoot. Personally, especially with professional players, we need to maintain realism at all times because football is an ever changing picture, so the need to practice ONE specific static scenario becomes almost irrelevant. Put it this way... why would you relentlessly learn one / two notes on a piano just in case it comes up in a piece? Just my opinion of course. Personally I don't agree with the FA 'Technical -> Skill -> Game' structure due to the rigid nature. The picture on the field is ever changing, a Coach with a basic knowledge of psychology should know we as humans learn faster, quicker when we make mistakes via DELIBERATE practice. To put in football terms, match realistic sessions where the players decision is dictated by the scenario on the field and NOT the Coach. I highly recommend the book by Daniel Coyle 'The Talent Code' to all to understand what I mean. Again, this is just my opinion as a Coach. If you feel differently by all means challenge my philosophy.

There’s a place for unopposed practices like this, after training, there’s a place for patterns of play unopposed, leading into an opposed practice. As for everything else you’re saying I totally agree. Read a book called play to learn, learn to play, you’d love it.

I do not want to come off as arrogant, but I consistently do this solo training. Only finish i would consider class was 5:17, and honestly should be expected from a good striker from any reasonable distance, still a fantastic strike

Tip for the forwards - aim to score either top left or top right as it is virtually statistically impossible for a goalie to reach that area (see Ken Bray's videos on KZbin). Tip for the goalie - study how the players move and score goals on KZbin videos. Every player has a favourite, habitual side to score goals - use that info to your advantage. Goalies should also practice yoga, particularly half moon pose which can stretch your height by up to four inches. Handy.

Their first touch is bad and the exercise needs more mobility, just standing calmly while waiting for the ball to come to your feet and casualy shooting will never happen in a game.

Keepers usually don't take training sessions, especially like this one too seriously, even for top keepers. It's because they want to prevent injury(keepers have a higher risk of getting an injury than normal outfield players)
