This is the hardest part of having an animal. My cat is getting fat and I know it’s bad for him but I just keep feeding him because I feel bad not giving him food when he wants it.😢
@vengfulmushroom5 ай бұрын
I know you don't ask but also as a cat lover I thought I'd say something. There are videos on here and groups on Facebook that can help with that, just ignore people being really mean and try to be open to constructive criticism. I say this because I can tell you love your baby and don't want your kitty to go without. Know that they are not going without especially with how much you love them. Even if they look at you with their big eyes and beg, just know that you saying no is a different way of saying "I love you and I want you here for a long time so we are doing what you need instead of what we want. I hope you and your cat have many more years to come, you two got this ❤

@@vengfulmushroomso true. I need help to get my 6 Yr old female.i love her beyond measure, but she is very overweight and my attempts to help her lose weight have failed. I also have a rescue boy who required serious ( and eye-wateringly costly) surgery for a herniated diaphragm. He has needed extra nutrition and I feed him extra on the sly. He's great now but Mimi is still so fat I worry so much. HELP!!

Wow! I obviously know birds are light especially from their hollow bones ect… But he is only 2.29lbs😳 wow that is crazy! Looking at him I would of guessed 4-5 lbs. looking at him he looks husky I guess is a word to use. And of course his feathers are mostly to blame for his stocky look. But still… just surprising. And he is a Gorgeous Bird!! I have always loved Owls. I especially like the great horned owl just gangster looking! And Kudos for this lady, she does such an amazing job caring for him. You can tell, from how healthy and beautiful he is!

Does he ever get to free fly? (In an enclosure or even your home? I assume he can’t fly in the wild due to dangers and being raised in captivity). I would love to see him fly! He’s gorgeous and one of my core memories happened at Disney world and wasn’t what you’d think for Disney- we were walking back to our hotel in the evening hours and an owl swooped down right in front of us from a tree onto the grass. I was so shocked and in awe and hadn’t seen one in the wild before then! Beautiful and very QUIET creatures! Thanks for Sharing Oaky with us!! ❤ I really love your energy as well!

Fascinating! I didn't know that falconry was so involved. Question: do some states allow a licensed falconer to "hunt" using an owl? I've never heard of owls being used for hunting game birds (as one would use, for example, a Peregrine Falcon).

😂😂😂😂😂 me when she says he wouldn't survive in the wild lol it definitely wouldn't go hungry ik that lol those instincts are still there 100% you haven't had that big of an effect he just knows there steady food where he is. They are smart enough to know it's easier to stay then go live in the wild and fend for himself but if ever one day you didn't wake up and he got away I'm sure he would be totally fine.

What I would put before every video is I saved this bird and that’s why I have it. Not if you get a special license you can have one too. These birds belong in the wild if they are safe and able. If they are not they need special care and not people making content from it
@evavarndell50898 ай бұрын
So if you took him out flying is there a chance that even with your bond he might not come back if he doesn't want food?

Owls are wild, and they spend most of their time alone, hunting for their next meal. They are predators by nature, and handling them requires special equipment and a special set of skills. Your owl could cause injuries if not handled correctly. Experts largely agree that owls should not be kept as pets. The United States does not allow private individuals to keep native owls as pets--they may only be possessed by trained, licensed individuals while being rehabilitated, as foster parents in a rehabilitation facility, as part of a breeding program, for educational purposes, And she is not in a rehab facility But she's acting like a trainer
