There is more to a good skipper than just vessel and crew handling. Being able to tell your crew what is the plan not just as “orders” but free flow of information. How many times did you ask what the crew needed? That level of team work needs praise. The next stage is to be able to teach not by “monkey see monkey do “ but the why! Why is far more important when training. Love it. Keep it up…Amacf

Hi TimB at sea, I told my daughter about you attending Proctor, I took her and my son to Proctor to show them where I went to school, great new buildings have been constructed the campus looks great. I don't know when you last visited on an alumni weekend. Proctor looks impressive. My daughter bought me a TimBatSea tee shirt for father's day, nice gift. Great videos, enjoy them tremendously. Do they teach physics at skipper school or are the concepts of kinetic energy, friction, resistance, forces (thrust, wind, and tide), etc.? Or is that all on the job and observation education? Capt, you explain the applied physics very well. TOOT (aka CUOTO blast).

@@TimBatSea Your understanding of physics shows well. If boaters MISunderstand physics they are eventually going to get into trouble. I would assume that captain schools teach applied physics one way or another.
