When he says charm i can guess he means "γοητεια"=goetea. Γοης=Goes, was the wanderer magician that could "attract" or magnetize people...So in the republic charm means to "bewitch" :) ....When γοης would say his magic spells we was kind of shouting :)...

When in the english language the name; “Homer” is mentioned I think of A Simpleton (Simpson) When I read “Homeros” or even “Homerus” I end up in A multi dimensional Odyssee beyond the borders of time and space, Such that could only be captured in words by A Ancient ‘Blind’ Poet! On the otherhand; Nobody captures this old blind bard better in english then master Grimes.... I love the ‘Turbo’ language of english, Which springs from the old Germanic languages like my native Dutch, but much more fluid, less complex that’s why It became A Technical World language I guess.. But why swallow names? Or am I A Dinosaur by now? (I say “Dinosaurus”) Anyway, Great dia-logue, Wis-dom and insight in these exchanges betwixt two kindred souls! I agree with You; there was A lot of brutality in Ancient times, but isn’t It true that there is pervers rape of Mother earth in our ‘modern Civilization’ bio and robotic weapons might be technical advanced but fallen far away from the original ancient initiation of man on “the path of the Warrior” (Which was A spiritual initiation of fighting once own fear!) I would not be surprised that Pierre followed such A path that seemed to have shaped him into A Zen master, Again Zen was the path of the Spirit-Warrior Keep Up the good work! Yours Sincerely, KJ

Thank you for sharing this in FB. Btw, just an advice, you should share more art from Eastern Europe (Serbia, Romania, Russia, Estonia etc) because we are all the men of the West. As Heidegger said: "West is death. Europe is life" meaning that what we deem Western civilization is European/ white mens civilization. M Keep up the good work

Thank you for bringing Dr. Grimes to us again. He is a jewel and a pleasure to listen to. His teachings are cracking the toughest knots within me to understand the Self further and shed the shadows. Could you please advise where we could purchase the book of discussion as I have not been able to locate it either in e-bay or amazon. Thank you. Happy November

The Roman Empire did not end with the sacking of Rome in the 5th Century AD. The empire continued in the east and did not end until the Turks sacked Constantinople 1000 years later. This is a pet peeve of mine. But, it's the truth.

The celestial phenomena have always been the ultimate example of Plato's Allegorical Cave. The ultimate example of a Rorschach test. Astrology and astronomy share a common heritage. Their DNA is forever intertwined. Both disciplines contain very imaginative and fantastic ideas that critical thinking minds question. In fact, and despite what the common wisdom is, astronomy is less based on demonstrable reality than astrology. The heliocentric model has been ad hoc patched to the point that it is little more than a set of contradictory ideas collected together to form a secular religious dogma maintained by a white lab coat wearing propaganda-promoting priesthood who have a peer-reviewed Pavlovian process to thank for their inability to logically think. Clever peer-reviewed parroting is rewarded. Honest critical thinking and skeptical questioning get censored and canceled.

Referring to my previous posting: On further investigated the confusion over the understanding of opposing education studies, discussed by Pierre, there are indeed two distinct paths: There is the Isocratic liberal studies or Socratic liberating studies. As the name suggest this is a liberating study, the confusion appears to have been exacerbated in the middle ages with the reading the works of Isocrates mentor Aristotle. The emphasis of studia humanitas becomes a tawdry personal presentation of individual persona (pomp) towards corporal and dogmatic self-conscious political correctness for self-adoration and admiration in public or private in a word conceit. Whereas Cicero who coined the phrase “humanitas” considered humanitas to be a spiritual art which turned the soul around from the corporeal to the divine universal consciousness. Much the same as Socrates/Pierre says the liberating arts are to lift the soul out of the barbaric bog towards the brilliant light of Being. Cicero’s De Republic: “What command, what office, what kingdom can be preferred to that condition of mind, which looking down upon all things human, and esteeming them to be the objects of an inferior wisdom, turns ever to the contemplation of those things that are divine and eternal: persuaded that they only deserve to be called men, who are refined by the sciences of humanity? That which has been said of Plato, or of some other sage, appears to me therefore very excellent”. This clear distinction of humanitas is also made by Seneca in epistles 88 “You have been wishing to know my views with regard to liberal studies [i.e. a regular round education of, ἐγκύκλιος παιδεία, including grammar, music, geometry, arithmetic, astrology, rhetoric and dialectic]. My answer is this: I respect no study, and deem no study good, which results in money-making. Such studies are profit-bringing occupations, useful only in so far as they give the mind a preparation and do not engage it permanently. One should linger upon them only so long as the mind can occupy itself with nothing greater; they are our apprenticeship, not our real work. Hence you see why "liberal studies" are so called; it is because they are studies worthy of a free-born gentleman. But there is only one really liberal study, - that which gives a man his liberty. It is the study of wisdom”. We can see that Seneca is trying to iron out the confusion between the two studies. However, as time goes on the studia humanitas becomes the study of gymnastics, grammar, rhetoric, music, mathematics, geography, natural history, and philosophy etc ignoring the Platonist's Cicero, Seneca and Socrates. Wisdom is unambiguously described in the Phaedo which is defined as the only true philosophy a liberation of soul from body with out the aide of the senses, an art of dying and being born again, a union of individual soul with the universal, which is the same as the Eastern practice of yoga. To our detriment the Isocratic teaching of rhetoric etc are focused on elitism and nationalism, the lofty proposition that the stronger gains the legal right to rule the weaker, the attitude which causes conflict, wars and psychological damage. The human being is a compassionate creature our true nature or dharma is to support the weaker and this practice is ultimately good for our mental health the well-being of the Earth and the true meaning of justice.

With other words: in reaction to the importance of #dreams at +-00:29:25, dreams provide an even faster step into precognition than the ability of tapping into such by using awarness - makes sens to me. I hope Julia Mossbridge sees it the same way. 😉 I can't explain it very wel but I see how "I" connects the dots. Interesting insight... I would like to know by how much memory-distance ("time") we get to predict the &/our future? 🤔

This is how the soul is brought from Hades ; When the Philosopher King passes by a fallen soul, he speaks freely, as always . It may not be anything special. What matters is what is encoded in his voice. The fallen soul hears his voice , however that soul is not conscious of what is encoded in it. They may never talk to each other or even see each other. The fallen soul does not realize that the voice is already within . When the life of the fallen soul expires , the soul takes the journey back into the underworld. At the gates of the Hades the soul is being stopped and not permitted to go any further. The forces guarding forces of Hades sense the voice of the Philosopher King. Then the soul is sent back to Earth. Such soul comes back to the world in new life. These souls are easily recognizable. Here's how you recognize them:

Hope this is useful to you all Training for the Philosopher King. I have an Allan Bloom translation of the Republic which I find is equal to the Balboa which Pierre recommends. As Pierre rightly says the Socratic mathematical studies (Rep 520d-541b) are the complete antithesis to the studies how we understand the terms. The foundation of Western educational development i.e. liberal arts and humanities were originally prescribed by Isocrates the counterpart to Socrates. Socrates rejects this training how we have been educated and proclaims; this to be the downward progression of the soul to materialism, therefore turn around, look up to the brilliant light of being; for eternal life. The Republic verses above cited must be read in conjunction with the Phaedo, in both Socrates is the chained prisoner planning his escape from Hades to Heaven. In both Socrates studies are for purification and preparation, a final swan song to Apollo, Hamsa or the song of pasture i.e. OM, OM, OM (Rep 532a-d) (use the imagination, cows in a field). The study referred to as harmony is rightly “antistrophe” meaning turning around in the opposite direction. There are two sciences; Socrates in some abstract way symbolises upward movement or motion, Isocrates is the opposite movement, downward. Further inferred from the Cratylus; iota “I” is indicative of “imitative” therefore a copy or copyist. R or rho is movement/motion. Motion is the theme of the verses cited from the Republic: simply this is the science of breath, Socrates (Prana) inspiration breath upward forces and Isocrates (apana) expiration breath downward forces. (Apollo the archer shoots on target, get the chest movement right and you go to heaven). Prana when turned upward is the aristocrat of the five pranas, apana is the distinctly poor relation. Finally, I find this observation interesting because, the pseudo mathematical studies of Socrates are called helpers, assistants or handmaidens in turning around, [the soul] if we spin the idea they become “angels”, is that not beautiful? In fact, Plato’s work is all beautiful. If you want any more AUM it your Self. Amen.
