Currently, Danish soldiers are training Ukrainian crews to drive the Leopard 1A5 tanks that Denmark, together with Germany and the Netherlands, have donated to Ukraine. The training takes place on a German base in close cooperation with German soldiers and employees from the industry.
The Danish instructors have been responsible for the first part of the Ukrainians' training for a while, after which their German colleagues take over. But the whole process takes place in close cooperation with interpreters from several countries and representatives from the German tank industry. And although the training course is compressed compared to how you normally train a tank crew at the Armored Battalion at the Jutland Dragoon Regiment in Denmark, there is no compromise on quality.
