try mixing a few bits of the treat in with his food for a few days and try again. My first ferret was finicky about new treats but if I introduced them slowly he started loving them.

For toys, I give Joey a lot of stuffed animal dog toys (no plastic eyes or noses - all plush). He also likes those cats wands with feathers at the end. He likes to chase it while I move it around. Do NOT get any toys with rubber because ferrets are known to try to ingest it. Boxes, bags, and tunnels are always fun toys as well. I hope this helps!

That is so cool. I just bought a 3 yr old male ferret from a friend, I have some important questions concerning him that I want to ask u. I really don’t want to discuss him here because I don’t want people knowing his business, but I have went everywhere and called every place I know of but all these places didn’t answer my questions. I will tell u one thing. He has adrenal gland disease. I went to the vet with him and he gave me some suggestions to try and none of them worked, my questions are concerning his diet. Hi Joey the trained ferret I have a question. My ferret always sleeps in his litter box and I always try to get him to poop in his litter box before I take him out to play but after a good 10 minuets I just let him out assuming he doesn't have to go and the he poops on the floor!! And also he seems to sleep in his litter box and I tried everything I tried putting his poop inside there but he just flings it out and I put ALOT of fleece and beds inside there and he never sleeps in them

try rubbing the poop around in the litter box. My little ones used to all the time ! then i did that and they stopped. And when he goes t the toilet give a treat after and if he sleeps in his bed wake him and put him straight into his blankets. Try putting food or treats in his blankets also. Good luck !

I have 8 ferrets but only 4 I manage to train. One of them is my star pupil XD His name is silver and he is a silver MIT. I have two silver mits, one albino. One polecat, two black sable, another silvery white, and I think a cinnamon or a sandy. Even though all ferrets have hunting instinct I can tell who will excell at rabbiting and who will do well as pet or show ferrets. I love my fuzzies

my 10 week old half eu ferret is soft and loves to be out, will he ever bite me like in a nasty way, i pick him up everyday and spend hours with him, he has never bit me and his previous owner said he never bit and he hand tamed him from being tiny!!! im 15 and not keen on a ferret that is nasty, but hes not, just wondering if he will ever bite

what i did is compromised i said how about if i can clean out the shed and make it suitable for the ferret can i get one and keep it in there it'll be my responsibility thats what i said and I'm getting mine soon! hope this helps get back to me soon

+NathanTheFerret hehe a shed is not an appropriate place for a ferret unless it's climate controlled and you get him out to interact with him 4 hours per day. They cannot withstand heat above 75 degrees Fahrenheit. They are social animals and don't like being alone.

Enriquez De Jesus well ferrets tend to want to stash things instead of bring them to you and that is just their natural instinct. I haven't tried this with Joey since its hard to train out instincts. It probably could be taught, it just might take some creativity.

I'm sorry but in case you did not know ferrets need to follow a specific diet of cat food or ferret food! If you give them anything that you want they will eventually won't last long! Cute ferret btw!❤️❤️

Joey TheTrainedFerret she said in the video she is using freeze dried liver or boiled chicken. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that and it is the main ingredient and most cat and ferret foods
