I would like to see how this plays out. Do attackers need to simply pass through one of those gates? Seems too easy. Or dribble through? Or receive a pass on other side of gate? etc...

How far apart are the cones for the gates?

The size of the gates should be relative to the size of the field. Make them the same size and cover the width of the field that the team normally plays on.
