I work a few miles from the Greencastle station and saw the monitor this past summer. Submitted my application for TM5 this morning 👍🏽

I am glad you showed Greencastle where a former station has a huge display in the window. A friend of mine has this system on his Smartphone, so I am somewhat familiar w it. There may be areas that don't have this system in place. It tells you when to expect a train, but not always. You may see a green portion with a train but may not see a train for a while if this train is oked but has no crew or some other issue. This can happen on low usage tracks. I remember we were going to a spot to catch this train. We went to this place & waited for 2 hrs. The track still had green for an approved route but had not moved from it's position.

How do I update the rail monitor on train mon 5 if theirs a new track?

If anyone is wondering how to make a layout show "Realistic" aspects even though most layouts on the ATCSMon version don't carry that function and no such mnemonics exist, you can setup expressions that detect for the position of a switch or if a track is occupied or not. To detect if a train is not in a block use the ! before the expression. This takes alot of practice but is the best way to get semi realistic signal aspects. Be warned that it may detect trains that are not actually there.

Since around February TM5 is all greyed out along the Lurgan line and most of PA in general, other than the Harrisburg yard. Have you noticed this too? Are there any updates or anything I can do? Thanks!

I have also noticed the issue. It’s been down in that area for a while and still is. I’m not sure what’s going on but hopefully they will fix the issue soon!

Sort of ironic this tutorial here you made uses that section of track. I also saw the flat screen at the high line station in Greencastle is now turned off too 😔

Thanks for this video. I just started using TM5 and find it a little confusing. Do people ever add layouts or is what I see now (about 53 layouts) all there is?

I believe they add layouts every once in a while. I'd keep checking You can also upload your own layouts, maybe I'll make a video on that sometime

Somewhat unrelated, but in your example, you use the NS Keystone division. Recently, all signals past Nokesville are down. Any thoughts on to why this is? Thanks for the great tutorial reguardless.

Yes, I noticed that... Not really sure why that is, but it sometimes happens intermittently. Could be due to loss of communication with the server
