Nice video, Nice to see the 313s still going strong, my question is why is there such thing as the Brighton to Hove service? It's only a 1 minute journey and there are plenty of trains heading in that direction anyway.

Thank you. 😀 I think it’s because they are trying to reduce overcrowding. As Portsmouth Harbour are every hour and 313 is only 3 car. And I have said this many times to people. 313 is not suitable for Portsmouth - Brighton route, not over an hour journey as they have no toilets on them trains, very small, cramped and very uncomfortable to sit on. They should off run only shorter journeys like Portsmouth- Littlehampton route They should of had 377 for Portsmouth - Brighton run as it’s 4 car and better seating, why Southern didn’t used that approach is beyond me.

I've read on forums in the past that the reason for the Brighton-Hove shuttle is to connect with Victoria-Littlehampton services, as there is no direct link between Brighton and Littlehampton except for a couple of peak hour services. I'm sure that West Coastway commuters appreciate the presence of the Hove shuttle more now that the Brighton-West Worthing service has been reduced to peak hours only.
