Matthew another superb video there and for me that court my likeness was the Transport for Wales 769 which looks nice in that livery it was also strange to see a cross country 220 in day light at cardiff and how about that 37 then iam sorry it failed to impress me as the driver never open up tho a great night shot all round especially seeing GBRF Evening Star which was heading for Trostre the Transport for Wales wag set looked stunning tho I have seen a video when it was on test at pontypool and new Inn station. So overall marks out of 10 is 10 and hopefully you'll be out and about somewhere on the network soon best wishes. JJ ❤

Can't travel by train any more, but love to watch them from my window overlooking the Rhymney Valley line. Not interested in the flashy new ones, but for a few short months, got a lot of pleasure from watching (and hearing!) the Class 37 locos, sadly now gone. Any idea what pulls the rust-coloured freight several times a day, on this line? Don't see much this time of the year, because of all the foliage, but thanks for wonderful footage. x

Enjoyed that Matt though totally kicking myself for not getting out in Tuesday. My current spot at STJ offers no shelter and it was miserably wet! Are the 769s in service now? Puzzled where the 37 was taking the Mk3s - usually they are heading straight for Sims at Newport.

I wonder where the former Greater Anglia coaches being hauled by the Class 37 were going, they looked in good shape and probably still do have life left in them, the Class 170's who TFW had from GA, operate on the Cardiff to Ebbw Vale route, they are lovely comfortable trains and are very quiet inside hardly any track or engine noise , only thing that is holding them back a bit is no WiFi,

I think the plan is to replace it with rolling stock cascaded from the East Coast main line,namely the MK4 stock.

It came down to Canton with the mk3s to collect the last TfW mk3 that was left there. There was an issue with it so I believe the others were used for brake force

If Network Rail were to continue with the electrification to Swansea. Would GWR Class 800 and Class 802 IETs could be able to run from London Paddington to Swansea on AC 25kv OHLE. But somehow the electrification ends after Cardiff Central. With Transport for Wales to order new Bi-Mode/Tri-Mode and Electric-Battery rolling stocks to replace the Pacers and other older diesel trains that TfW wants to get rid of.
