Thank You EJC! I remember the station before P1 and P5 were introduced (and it was busy then!) but not much before that. Mind you, the stock hasn’t really changed much since the 1990s!

@@StarlifeStudios yes If we are ever allowed to travel and out of our homes, I will be checking out the new transport. Work is already underway on the valley lines to upgrade them in readiness for partial electrification and the new stock.

You are right. Some of the 150s seemed in a poor external condition although some are now being repainted into the TfW white and red. (150236 is the first which was shown at 04:23) Thanks for the nice words as well Marcus 😃

Whoo!!! Amazing video as always. Great to see the 769's 'Recycled Trains' are now but through their paces in service, love the sounds of them. All what is left is for Northern to introduce their class 769's.

Haha exactly Ricky. Its hard to call the 769s 'New' trains! I was fairly lucky to see these two units out and about on these services because I believe 769s still do not regularly go all the way to Penarth, most terminate at Cardiff Central. I'll be sure to capture some Northern 769s later in the year and I'm sure you will as well! Thank you :)

@@claytonbrown6664 Northern's 769's are not in public service yet. They are undergoing test runs and driver training. Normally between Blackpool North and Southport.

Thanks TransportElectrics 😃 The 769s are funny things, Diesel engines but sound like 319s in the middle. They also appeared a little underpowered from the sound but maybe the driver just isn’t giving the full juice? 😉

@@StarlifeStudios there are two diesel engines (one under each driving coach) and they're connected to the existing traction motors from when they were 319s.

I'm not too impressed by it either Mikel. I think the Arriva liveries were much more striking. As with the case in Europe now with a lot of train liveries such as; Avanti, Abellio Greater Anglia, TfW, LNER all have white based liveries which are pretty boring.

Those 769s should be class 219 or 269 if they’ve bothered to remove the pan then it’s not exactly emu or bimode it’s just a DEMU?

I agree Benjamin, they were ordered to be dual purpose but in the end they became diesel only! GWRs are the only true 769s, Tri-modes. I'm looking forward to seeing them in action! Thanks for your comment 😃

The Class 142s are all gone now but the Class 143s are still in regular use I believe but only when paired with a 150. I've put the scrapping dates for the units shown in this video in the description for you. Thanks for watching as always David :)
