Spanish built trains...not even green or orange in colour......no hanging pot plants......no paint..it saddens me ...broke my heart last time I was there. Thank you for posting..great pub in Ballymoney station though! Joey's Bar

Fantastic video Kieran! Really enjoyed it, interesting traction. I'm intrigued into why passengers are not allowed on to platforms at certain times. 🙂

Great video Kieran!!! The reason why they sound like 172s is because they have the same gearbox and engine.
@TGSUK_Productions5 жыл бұрын
Brilliant video kieran but Coleraine has atos Anne which was something I didn't realise and also the track gauge is way different in Northern Ireland and Ireland itself which is 5ft 3in
@KTVTransport5 жыл бұрын
Indeed, a much weaker track gauge meaning these units would need major modifications if they moved into the Mainland at any stage.

Amazing video, i was at southampton ctl today its a station i think you should definitely visit Interesting traction, i thought that irelands trains would be quite old and not as clean as britain, but i was surprised to see such good standard of service, i think England, Scotland and Wales could learn a thing or two from northern ireland! I agree the 4000s do sound like 172s certainly nice to have some home comforts
@RWL20125 жыл бұрын
Republic of Ireland has some old trains, Northern Ireland only has newer ones. and the 4000s have the same engines and gearboxes as 172s. and Anne is even doing the announcements haha!

How to get some more value out of the Rail Network and Portrush Train Station (and get car traffic OFF the motorway and onto Coaches). Have an ALL motorway roundabout stops service from Enniskillen to Moira Train Station. At Moira, the bus pulls off and down into the village, turns there and then up to Moira Train Station via Station Road to connect with the Train service to Belfast (and beyond.) Belfast (and beyond traffic gets onto the train) and the Coach then heads up to the Airport (via Crumlin) and finally stops at Antrim where Portrush and North East traffic can change for the required train/bus service. This would be excellent for students/shoppers and those who work in Belfast as well as offering a weekend day tripper service to Portrush/Castlerock/Ballycastle etc for those who do not have cars and CANNOT get to the local town to catch a bus/train from there as well as taking congestion off the Motorway.

i’ve seen you comment this on about 5 different videos. just stop, it’s annoying
@jwrobin214 жыл бұрын
@@codymacauley_953 Not if you want to go to Portrush but live closer to a motorway roundabout than a station. Perhaps you wish you had thought of it yourself but are more annoyed that I did.

@@upyours83yearsago32 CAF built the 4000 trains themselves and Bombardier built the 172 trains themselves, but both the 172s and the 4000s are fitted with MTU engines and ZF gearboxes.

You'd think they'd use a Northern Irish announcer rather than Anne Jermy from Nottingham. I think the Republic of Ireland does have the announcements done by an Irish guy
