Trains at: Dawlish, RL, 29th June 2023

Hello guys and welcome back to another new video Im at dawlish today haven’t been here for a while but main reason why I came here is to see the works at the station coming along nicely!
Train services you will see in this video will be by GWR and Crosscountry and you will see a freight from st Blazey to Exeter riverside
My next planned video will be at marsh Barton next week when it opens up!

Good video Alex mate they've done a fantastic job at Dawlish train station I bet they might knock down the old footbridge as the new footbridge looks really good

I was down there recently and was told that the old footbridge will remain. I hope that that's right.

@@SionsTrainVideos The new footbridge and staircases might look very nice, but unless they are going to be roofed over they'll be somewhat unpleasant when it's wet and windy. The old footbridge and staircases are fully enclosed, so much better in adverse weather conditions. So on those grounds it should be kept - apart form it being from GWR days!

A brilliant video Alex great selection of trains, fantastic footage of the new layout off Dawlish station looks very nice certainly changed the last time i was at Dawlish, i think the old footbridge should be knocked down looks bit old and tatty

Nothing that a lick of paint wouldn't improve. It goes back to GWR days but, more importantly, it's all enclosed so no-one gets wet when it's wet and windy. The new steps and footbridge are open to the elements so, unless they plan to put rooves on, not very pleasant in adverse weather conditions.

I think that they can't take the old bridge down. Because it's grade 2 listed

Hi Alex when they put in the middle of the new bridge. They told us the old bridge is grand 2 listed
