Trains at East Midlands Parkway, MML - 4/10/18

Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at East Midlands Parkway located on the Midland Main Line where services are seen by East Midlands Trains only as well as a couple extra bits.
East Midlands Parkway was a fantastic station to visit and by far one of my favourites on the Midland Main Line as it sees some amazing passes plus you can get side by side HSTs as it is a passing point for them. The views are spectacular as well as the overall scenery which was second to none. The variety was nice especially for one company, I was fully impressed with how this station panned out.

that video was great the 185 engine HSTS sounded great with the black clag. i do miss these HSTS . nice 2 tone from that 222 btw

Well even though the HST train has gone from GWR, and VTEC, they will still be here. And u can ride the GWR HSTs still, because nearly all have been transferred to ScotRail

@@DB_137 GWR are still keeping 25 HSTS to run castle sets with 4 carriages each there going to do what DMUS do and scotrail are not having all HSTS because some are going to be in a museum like 43185 and 43002 are. idk about VTEC it be nice if they could give them to XC cause they need some

Great video Kieran!! Good amount of HSTs in that video! Can I confirm are the HSTs for what was then EMT valentas? Or is VP185 a different thing.

@@DamoMcDermott thanks for the info :) only station near to the East Midlands I've been to is Burton on Trent (I unintentionally feature in its KTV video near the end lol) even though I've been to Derby and Nottingham (the cities themselves)

Still can't tell the difference between Perkins and Cummins engine 158s

158/8 are cummings and 158/7 are perkings

Not necessarily Sion, TfWs 158s are Perkins and they are /8s.

oops how did i get the wrong order i know 158/8 are the perkins

Some /8s are cummins as well, South Western Railway operate those, /7s also are cummins as Scotrail operate those.
