All Glasgow trains that go through Edinburgh Park go to Glasgow Queen Street. The 385s to the High Level platforms. All 334s go to Glasgow Queens Street low level. There's a junction after Edinburgh Park near the Airport. Turn to left you travel the Bathgate - Airdrie link to Glasgow Queens Street low level and the West Highland Line. via Helensburgh. Straight on You go via Falkirk to Queens Street High Level or Stirling, Perth and Inverness. To get to Glasgow Central. You would divert to the left after Haymarket. And travel via Shotts or Carstairs and Motherwell. 385s sound like IETs Because they are also built by Hitachi and were built in the same factory as All of the UKs I IETs Azumas etc in Doncaster.

That's useful information, thanks for sharing. I know the ScotRail Express passes straight through to get to High Level of Queen Street. I know about the 334's doing an almost all station stop between Edinburgh Waverley and Helensburgh via Glasgow Queen Street Low Level and Dumbarton Central.

@@ReecesTrains It is possible to get to Glasgow Central via Edinburgh Park. It means a long detour. via Falkirk Grahamston and the Motherwell to Cumbernauld line that freight trains use get to Mossend freight yards. When Glasgow Queens Street was closed for it's electrification upgrade. They diverted Trains from Aberdeen and Inverness. Via this route to Glasgow Central.

20 years ago Trains to Glasgow Queens street low level only went as far as Airdrie. Trains From Edinburgh only went as far as Livingston North and Bathgate. Which was single track mostly. Operated by diesel trains. 2010 they linked the line between Bathgate and Airdrie. A doubled the line and electrified the line. All the 334s were regularly seen running out of Glasgow Central via Paisley and Ayr. When the 380s took over those routes. The 334s were relegated to the Glasgow Central/Queen St Low Level routes From Helensburgh to Edinburgh and Glasgows suburban routes.

Hi Reece - I assume that 'being bowled' is when a train passes through a station at speed next to the platform you are stood on? Also - what happened to the cord of your hoodie (looked like it was missing as you walked through Edinburgh Park)😁.
