Edinburgh Waverley is such a wonderful beautiful railway station in Central Edinburgh. With Avanti West Coast. LNER, ScotRail, CrossCountry, TransPennine Express and Caledonian Sleeper.

Thanks Thameslink Travels! Driver training for LUMO was done using Transpennine or Hull Trains 802s since the 803s hadn’t all been accepted into service at this time. They are more or less identical to drive.

they’re used sometimes on long distance intercity journeys here in scotland

Hull Trains and Lumo are both owned by First Group. Before Lumo ran public services, Hull Trains 802 units were regularly used by Lumo for staff training. Functionally, 802 and 803 units are almost identical.
