7 years ago I used to live in Ely, then moved to a village near it called Witchford and a year and a half ago moved to Lincolnshire. I really miss Ely station, i will never forget walking from my house to the station with my dad, walking through the underpass and going to London on a direct train, or going to see my grandma in kings Lynn headed the other way on the same line and passing pocket park, cruising along the river great ouse. Or even going to Cambridge to visit the University department of chemistry open day. I hope I can go back someday, but for now KZbin videos are the best thing I have.

Once while the flying Scotsman was on tour I got to see it pass through Ely aswell, that was incredible.

And there was one time our car broke down while we were in Peterborough so we got the train back home

The line between Ely and Peterborough isn't electrified, and it would probably put too much strain on the local power as well.
