Trains at Guildford, PDL - 31/3/18

In this video I visited Guildford station on the Portsmouth Direct Line. Services are seen by South Western Railway and Great Western Railway.
I found Guildford to be a busy and enjoyable station to film. It makes a change to film a place dominated by 450s with the pretty common 455s and the odd appearance of a 165. I certainly liked the views, especially those towards the London direction. Definitely a station I'd recommend.

Super smashing film as always Kieran, so nearly 2/3 of a year after SWR came into being, hardly any units sport their colours, what a joke but a wonderful film, nice station, will you ever do Hersham station which is near Walton on Thames?, got a soft spot for that station, thumbs up from me as always

can you do a one off at some local points in somerset where there is splendid views of trains whizzing by at 80-100mph and only 7ft away from the tracks legally your aloud their so it is safe

Platform guide for Guildford: 1 is for London Waterloo via Epsom 2 is for Waterloo via cob ham stoke dab ernoon didn’t spell that right Ik 3 is really quiet seeing the occasional service. 4 is for Portsmouth haslmere and Gatwick airport 5 is for Waterloo via Woking 6 is for ascot 7 isn’t in use 8 is for reading or sometimes Gatwick

You should visit the stations from Didcot Parkway - London Paddington because 387s replace most 165s and also there are quiet a few of the new IETs
