Trains at Leyland, WCML - 05/03/20

Video: An afternoon spotting trains at Leyland station situated on the West Coast Main Line, this spot features mainly passing Avanti West Coast, TPE services as well as both passing & stopping Northern services to/from Blackpool North, Hazel Grove, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Airport & Manchester Victoria, and finally some freight moves and a light loco move of CS 92018.
Also, this sadly was one of the only time I saw a Grand Central related driver training run up towards Blackpool North before the planned route was axed due to COVID-19.

Avanti West Coast Class 221 Super Voyager & Class 390 Pendolinos, Grand Central Class 90 / Mk4 set (using DB 90s for training), Northern Class 195 / 331 Civitys & Class 319s, TransPennine Express Class 185 Desiro & Class 350 Desiro (LNWR livery) & Class 397 Nova 2s, Caledonian Sleeper Class 92, Direct Rail Services Class 88, Freightliner Class 66.

6:37 Wo the 88 is stronger than I thought! That load was like twice the length of the 66's. Anyway good video! This is a great place to train spot! You should try and to it at Stafford or Liverpool next time.

the class 88s have a higher power output than the 66s, 66 Output at rail: 3,000bhp at engine: 3,300 88 Output Electric: 5,400hp
