Hello and welcome to my first video of 2019 (Hope everyone had a great Christmas and Happy New Year btw).
This one is from London Fields located between Cambridge Heath and Hackney Downs on the Lea Valley Lines (LO) and West Anglia Mainline (GA).
London Fields was just a simply decent station to spot at. The only reason I came here was to track down the last few remaining London Overground and GreaterAnglia Class 315 and 317 units before they are put off-lease or scrapped. It worked out well as I now have only a couple units left to see so expect so more videos on the Lea Valley Lines.
The station itself was simple with only a few seats and info screens. There was one slight problem which was that over the brick wall that separated the platforms to the fast lines, there was a lot of uncut vegetation that did restrict my view but I could still see the train numbers thankfully. So the views where okay but there were a few obstructions, the frequency of services was very good seeing that I when just after the rush hour so there was a couple of ECS moves and range of traction was good with some LO Class 315's and 317's.
Also at the end of the video, all services began to be diverted onto the slow lines. I don't know exactly why but it might have been to do with some emergency engineering works just outside of Hackney Downs.
Includes:
Greater Anglia:
Class 317's
Class 379's
London Overground:
Class 315's
