Great selection, glad you managed to get a good amount of freight. There aren’t many videos where you get more freight than passenger trains! 🙂

Thanks very much bud! First time filming here and it was tremendous although bloody cold haha.

The crossing goes down quite early for non-sropping trains is because one of the signals they need to clear before the train reaches it is all the way back about a good mile. And the one before that is a good 2 miles out into the countryside. They'll normally have the crossing locked and cleared about a minute before the train reaches the signal just to add buffer time incase anyone tries anything funny to delay the closure

Great video mate! Here's a fact, some of those GBRf 66/3s were actually Class 77s when they were Operating abroad! Also, could I possibly get s shout out un the next video?
@Tornado92211 күн бұрын
Thanks very much, I was actually aware that GBRF had acquired some of the 77s that were running around Europe, I do find it strange though that for the 66 to operate in Europe they have to meet certain specs and have features added that aren't required for use within the UK. I don't often do shoutouts but I'll see what I can do

Just finished watching most enjoyable, Question it's been a while since I've been spotting in the 70s good old days, Do you need a platform ticket? I'm old school.
@Tornado92211 күн бұрын
Thank you very much for watching this film, I'm glad you enjoyed watching this. In regards to your question it really does depend on where in the country you go, stations like this one you can just walk out onto the platform and start 'spotting' with no issues at all. Other stations you would need to find the station reception and sign in so that the staff know what you're doing and roughly where you are. But in saying that there are also some stations around the country that do still offer platform tickets aswell. Hope I didn't make that too confusing haha

@@maddisonkyne8746 Hello there, I'm sorry to hear that you're affected by your social anxiety to the extent that it can often limit you to heading out to certain places. You made a mistake with the title of your video, March is not on the Fen Line. It's on the Ely-Peterborough Line.
@tjwillow20Ай бұрын
Still the fen line
@Owenjedi5000Ай бұрын
The Fen Line runs from Cambridge to Kings Lynn. The Ely-Peterborough Line runs from Ely to Peterborough, If March is on the Fen Line, How would trains get to Spalding. The abandoned platforms were used when trains had services going to Spalding.
