Glad you enjoyed it. I migrated from Scotland to Bromley in 1974. Not quite in the same league as Australia!

Nice video! 😃 I have been to Orpington many times and is a great place to trainspot. It's super cool that you saw the 707s pass through and still in there SWR livery. 😎 This video is filled with lots of interesting facts. 😁👍

Very Nice Video at Orpington, fairly local to me. Nice catches of the Class 707s on test, which I managed to film in five car formation the day before in a few places on my commute. I did see the double 707s on the second journey you filmed, except I was unable to film it.

This is so ironic that you've just uploaded this as I just got back from seeing some trains at Orpington! Excellent video! 😂

Just a short cycle ride for me. If the weather improves I might cycle a bit further now that lockdown has eased. Not sure about getting on a train yet.

It's a trap point to divert any runaway from the sidings away from the running lines. Would be very messy if it was ever used. I think there was probably another siding there once upon a time.

I was wondering if the Class 707s cascaded from South Western Railway will have the Southeastern blue livery or the white livery. And to transfer the Class 376s to operate on the North Kent Line stopping services to Rochester and Gillingham. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_707
@BoogiesTrains3 жыл бұрын
No toilets on the 376s. Doubt that they would be acceptable to Rochester.
@Andrewjg_893 жыл бұрын
@@BoogiesTrains True. Unless the Class 376s could be cascaded to Southern to replace the Class 455 and Class 313. If that is possible.

@@Andrewjg_89it would have made more sense for TSGN to take the 707s as they already operate Siemens Desiro City units and must have access to maintenance and spare parts.

@@BoogiesTrains That's true. I agree.

How many different London Termini are served from Orpington?

Charing Cross, Cannon Street, and Victoria have all day services. Blackfriars is peak hours only.
