Trains At Trimley Station 3/7/24 | RARE: Engineering Train, Tones and More |

Hello everyone, today I braved the pouring rain to catch a rare sight on the Felixstowe line, an engineering train. Too make it better it had a class 66 as the top and the tail of the train. Was really nice to see different freight action for a change instead of intermodal services.
I also got some tones from the drivers as well as catching 3 class 66s in Special livery's in one day.
Was a brilliant day, and I caught loads footage for a change, and I got wet twice. Luckily I quickly dried out.

Great coverage including the engineers train, any news when trains will be back using Felixstowe North yet.

@@antman09ful1 Today actually, on RTT services were back to being scheduled to arrive at the North Terminal instead on Creek Sidings. As the Engineering train came from the track that leads to the north terminal that was damaged, I can only presume that the damage is now fixed. I haven't seen them in person yet, but as most Freight services were running today I can only presume that it is back and up and running again at full capacity. The first service scheduled for the North terminal instead of Creek Sidings was at 12 o'clock today. And ran fine. No more services are scheduled for Creek Sidings now. The engineer train took away materials and empty ballast wagons so Yes repairs are complete. The whole 5 years ive been trainspotting in daylight at Trimley station was the first time I've ever seen an engineering train in the daylight on the Felixstowe line. Most other locals had never seen one either. Last time I think we got an engineering train was when the line was doubled up to gun Lane. Hopefully more frequent intermodal services leaving and entering the port. (Sorry for the rant 😂)

Congrats on 200subs 😀👍 and great vid.i did see on realtime trains there was an engineering train today but as it was raining I couldn't be bothered.Looks like tomorrow might be back to normal with felixstowe North so I might go and film at Westerfield.

@@UKShipspottingRailFreightTV Thank you 👍 Yes was very rainy today. I got wet as well, but was well worth it. Who knows when I'll next see another engineering train on the Felixstowe line. As far as I'm aware I'm am the only person to post footage of a engineering train like this one on the Felixstowe line. I couldn't miss this opportunity. Yes I think it's back to normal for rail freight tomorrow. That engineering train was the only train today that came from the track that leads to the north terminal. It had been sitting there all morning. Could here it's engine for hours. I think it was loaded there. The wagons Were full of Stone sleepers which I presume we're from the Derailment ?? I think the ballast wagons were empty as well. So yes I think the repairs are complete. I noticed this on RTT as well. I'll Look forward to it. I won't be able to film tomorrow anyway to catch the north terminal back in action. Sorry for the rant, got a bit carried away 😂

@@Desiro360 Thanks for watching 👍 Was a rare sight. It came down due to the Derailment. Wonder how long it'll be before I see one again on the Felixstowe line

@TrainsAtTrimley-eastSuffolk who knows. I went to Peterborough today. Passed that engineers train you saw whilst on the train back to Ipswich. Glad you saw some intermodals as well.
