What a brave-hearted videographer you are! You’ve provided some excellent views there in challenging conditions! I also enjoyed hearing the Doppler Phase Shift from the DMUs horns at the Brora Golf Course crossing too! The last time I did the complete round trip…was 11 years ago during a visit to Wick to provide a talk to the local Amateur Radio Club (I was made very welcome by my wonderful hosts) I also had the pleasure of travelling south again with a young lady driver in charge of the train who, I think, was based at Wick. It had been many years since I’d travelled on the Far North Line…and I also enjoyed the standard ‘diversionary’ return trip to Thurso before finally getting to Wick on the outward journey and the same on the way back. The separate trip to Thurso is, I think, the only service in Scotland where the ‘side trip’ takes place. A very enjoyable ride for me all the way from Bournemouth in Dorset! Best wishes, Rob.

Really very good camera work in this video and nice to see the snow it’s sometime since I was last in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and there was a lot of snow but really good video

@FraserWest-um4ue Thank you, it was great but the snow disappeared over night it went from -9 to +12 in a couple hours, we have no snow, and a few little patches on the hills!

I noticed that the weather forecast has changed very quickly but there’s a cold jet stream coming from somewhere in Russia going to the uk so you will probably see more snow and it should be there for a few days or a week but very good filming in the video

You might well see the snow plough going to far north of Scotland this cold winter is going to stay for a few days Scotland and the rest of the uk but then turn warm again and wet

We stayed a couple of nights at Brora (Sutherland Hotel) in 2010. Nice little town, and friendly people. Got sun burned swimming in the North Sea!

Nice video Kyle. Should have been called trains on Far north line at Brora Golspie and helmsdale but just as a suggestion. I always find that bit between Brora and Dunrobin castle funny with not one not 2 but 3 W boards all for the private level crossings 😂
