Long distances, no towns to change crew. The passenger car has all the comforts of home, so they do it in shifts.

8.35 is 2 loco’s enough for these trains, they seem a bit challenged, how much hp are we looking at?🇦🇺

Where that shot is taken is one of the steepest grades on the whole line. It's about the only spot they struggle. Beyond there, the track is fairly flat and built well. Sometimes you will see a third unit work on these trains but rarely. The SCT Class pumps out about 4500 horsepower (3355KW). Thanks for watching! Matt - M&S Trains
