Great video Toby! Nice catch of the 158/159 combo. Weather was really miserable that day as the Welsh Marches Line was blocked due to flooding and my train back was cancelled. I went to Reading and Maidenhead.

Cool video. Plus, I'm a little concerned about the formation of the new trains, how often does a single 5 car unit and how often does a 10 and a 9 car train run?

Thank you. The 5 car IETs don't run very often but can be used if routes are limited with 9 and 10 car IETs. The 5 cars only run mainly between Bedwyn and London Paddington and sometimes to Oxford and over to Great Malvern. The 9 and 10 car IETs run all the time on the main routes between London Paddington - Penzance/Bristol Temple Meads/Swansea. These are either 800s which the 800/0 are 5 car that join up with others and 800/3 which are 9 car. The 802s are also either 9 or 10 car formations. Hope this helps.

Thanks but, very strange because once I was at swindon during the super off peak hours, waiting for my train to London, then I saw a five car train arriving with coaches full of people, just overcrowded, so we waited for the next one and the next one is a 10 car, and in paddington, since we had a super off peak ticket, I saw a handful of 5 cars and some 10 cars with not very many people.
