A classic meet with two Center beam cars spotted just correctly to see the other power. A few of those covered hoppers on that first NB truly had some sideswipe damage. Then the unique placement of the SB DPU had just a small handful behind it rather than the very end. Perhaps a small setout but you don't have to worry about repositioning the DPU. Seeingg the underside of that bridge reminded me of 2 they tore down in Milwaukee but they had been reduced to one lane each way with no trucks and said three ton limit. For 2 years though we got to drive our oldest 10-ton buses across it. The one Bridge was so bad four sections had wooden cribbing underneath to make sure it stayed up. That sure built my confidence

Always nice to get a meet! If you look carefully at the signal down there as the first train approaches, you’ll notice the other track’s signal has only one light on the top head. That means the double track ends and goes to one track. That’s why 177 was about to stop. It was waiting on the northbound to clear the signal so they could diverge onto the single track

Greetings from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada ( birthplace of Jim Carrey!) l saw a few CN freight cars on that train , made me think of watching super long freight trains on the double CN line that goes overtop of Toronto. Often would see 2 trains passing one another. Sometimes one of them would stop, l would hop on but only for a few hundred feet, because it's amazing how fast they can get up to a speed where it's unsafe to jump off! I figure if l stayed on l might end up in Edmonton, Alberta or Chicago!

Cities and towns can have trouble getting railroads to maintain bridges over their tracks. The town probably put up that sign because they were tired of getting complaints that they can't do anything about. Hopefully the railroad doesn't wait for the bridge to collapse before they take action.
