. . . . and a bit of wet coal dust will help in her appearance as well!!!!! She looks so natural in her care worn state, just like we remember🤔🤔!! Would be interesting to take a public poll on weathered or not weathered. There's some experts in that workshop, always difficult to match exactly, you can't see the join!!! I was there last month , absolutely love this railway , Eddystone was rostered when I was there , nice to see Manston out and repaired after the shunting mishap a while ago . I highly recommend to anyone visiting Corfe castle , to have a bite to eat in the Greyhound inn pub !

The weathered look is an interesting idea and I think a good one although it's led to all sorts of comments on other videos along the lines of "why don't they clean or paint 34070". It actually looks a lot cleaner and less rusty than many 1960s shots of steam engines. But that could also be authentic as I think Exmouth Junction kept its locos looking reasonable till the end, unlike some areas where they were just left filthy.

Cheers! The majority of the paint on the locomotive is from the same coat it received in 2014, so has been naturally worn down over a few years. As for the dirt and dust, just not cleaning it.

Very different coal loading from the huge concrete tower at Rosegrove Burnley that I saw when scrambling around the locomotive shed. Principally W.D. 2-8-0’s hauling local pit’s outputs to power stations whose cooling towers have also been demolished. I watched several of these Bulleid’s at Exeter and Plymouth on holidays.

Well spotted! Might have been a breakdown and a quick replacement? I think the first service to Wareham didn't run one morning due to a problem but the later ones did, maybe this was the occasion. On the other occasions I've been this summer it has been the full 3 car set, with or without the bubble car.
