Having spent most of my childhood both in this area and around Fairport (my parents are divorced), I just have to say that you're doing a tremendous job capturing the feel of the area as a whole. Along those lines, I'm sorry you lost your job to this whole coronavirus shpeel, and I hope you recover soon.

There's yard clutter assets on the DLS. You could use those instead of rotating and placing several individual wheels

Hey there AM, I was introduced to your videos by some other rail fans on KZbin. I work directly across the street from the area where you are working on in this video. I can give you some ground level photos of this area, plus I used to work for CSX, so I can give you some inside information on locations of stuff. Let me know if you’re interested. Keep up the great work!!

You should do a small narrow gauge route like the greenhorn creek logging company it was only a mile long. Another good one would be the Sierra valley and mohawk railway only 10 miles long with an interchange with the Nevada California and Oregon. Furthermore I would be happy to reskin locomotives and rolling stock for the S.V.&.M.
@railhead001trainzrantz24 жыл бұрын
You should use the height adjustment to vary the rails and tie bundles so they don't look repetitious as you mention also change the angle of assets like barrels and other objects to give variance like in my scenes. Makes it look more realistic, nice work though !

Wow, that freeway overpass is completely gnarly, awesome, and over-the-top, too! The yard clutter looks great as usual. I'm really sorry about your job. I'm afraid that's likely to be the new normal for quite a while. On a slightly different topic, have you considered setting up an Approach Medium team at Folding@Home to help corona virus research? I think most of your readers have powerful enough computers to be a big help in the search for treatments and a vaccine.

New follower to your channel as I have been considering doing something very similar for UK TANE for a while. I totally feel you regarding long builds and esp. the move to TRANS DEM. You think it is going to make everything easier, it is a whole different jigsaw puzzle instead....If I have missed your explanation forgive me, but how do you do your cinematics and flyover videos?
@ApproachMedium4 жыл бұрын
Just hide the compass, pick a nice angle and fly with a very steady hand. I don't use any tricks anyone else couldn't use.

I've been thinking for a while now that this game is crying out for a rotation snapping or application tool. Imagine being able to snap things to 90 degrees or apply an angle to a series of objects like all those old axles you did. for a world building system it seems like such and obvious tool that the game doesn't have.
