I'm NOT getting bored ! I learn much. I just have to keep pausing the video to see the name of the assets you are using. One day I hope to have them all and master them like you.

I believe the PRR yard towers on the DLS would look nice. Perhaps Allegheny yard was ex PRR? A lot of structures and rail were left in place by the PRR and penn central as they were abandoned and as such have been used by modern shortlines and class II roads

Nah... If it was EX PRR and real... I would literally plant a bomb in area.

This series has inspired me with making my own railroads, while not in this game. I'll give you props to this. Keep building, and take your time.

Very well done. If you want more activity, there’s a tugboat and barge on the DLS that runs on invisible rails underneath the water (the tracks need to be 3 meters down according to the DLS page). Just an idea I thought I’d throw out there. Also, PWeiser made some NH tugboats that are static, and could be good decorations.

In the pier you should add like old abandoned tracks like they built cement over it and they're not use no more and it looks like they went into them. But they're just not used
@theoverloader51106 жыл бұрын
Nice videos man. I just found 2 of them including this and really got me motivated to continue building my own route. Not in Trainz but in Railworks, still a very time costly process.

I think you should stick another body of water around the steel mill, in real life they tend to build them beside bodies of water so that they're accessible by boats. A good example would be in Sault St. Marie, Ontario. Check it out on maps and you could probably get some ideas from it

Ive been there! And yes it is on a river.

The river seems too small to support a rail-served port, I think it works best sort of as a marina facility or something like that. Also you could convert one of the warehouses into a concert venue or art studio and maybe park cars and a tour bus outside, and some picnic tables and stuff like that. Random disconnected dock rails might also be a nice detail to add, and in the old building site you could sink some wall splines into the ground partially to use as the building's foundation, then use a runway or road to fill the space between them. You could even add some poles for structural supports. The bland parking lot could have a lot of stacked pipes in it, since pipes would be a commodity that's difficult to move by road or rail due to length.

Use jointed rail's sample tower... says sample sadly but looks really good. You should do the CSX Appalachian Division too.

Amazing! I’ve never seen greater work on Trainz than this! How do you do it. Oh and please make a scene next to a beach with one track next to a high plateau, it would be like my hometown, and congrats on 3,000 Subs, almost there, 13 more to go!

You should run the river up to the steel mill so ore ships can get to it. It'll give it a real great lakes shipping fell.

Just saying, the river will need to be wide enough so that the barges can turn around, as the bridge is too low and the supports are too close together for the barges to get through...
@NJP766 жыл бұрын
I noticed that as well. I think the bridge is all right as it is. We can say that the boats/barges come in from this side and wouldn't have to deal with the bridge. I do agree that the river should be a bit wider, at least around where the docks are. Still, this is another very inspirational video.

If you’re planning on starting working on the completely unbuilt bits then I would totally recommend Bombs321’s series ‘under construction’ as it’s basically him just building an entirely new route. If you don’t fancy watching the whole live build then he uploads a timelapse under the name ‘The zombie train’ however he does talk about unrelated stuff in those videos

mate I know that feel when you are trying to find an asset it happens to often for me like I know what to find but have no idea what its called or cant find the right type that will fit in the scene I'm building

Maybe it's not so easy to find, but most of he boats on the water around Pittsburgh are small pleasure boats--speed boats, pontoon boats, house boats, ski boats, bass boats, even, and then barges. Nothing really in the middle. Well, a few dredges, etc...

I have an Idea . I am willing to commission a brewery on the route. It would allow the use of tank cars,cylindrical covered hoppers,reefers,and box cars. What do you think?
@ApproachMedium6 жыл бұрын
Might be an interesting addition. Where are you thinking it’d be located?
@robertshaw88256 жыл бұрын
I was thinking In one of the transition areas. Maybe between Allegheny,and the flood plain ?

Definitely in an area that you are stumped on how to fill. The beauty of this idea is ,breweries can be any size.
@ApproachMedium6 жыл бұрын
Hmm I'll have to look it over and give it some thought. idk if I even know how to model a brewery.
