Traktor Pro 3 Mapping for the Hercules Inpulse 500

Started with the 500 and now exploring Traktor with an S3, but till am familiar with the new controller can always go back to my trusted Inpulse 500 and get a grip on Traktor software. Thanks for watching.. You might double check the midi mapping for the sync button might be set wrong … set to hold not push or something similar.. I’m Not a big mapper but I know there are setting for that . Thanks .

Hey thank you for this it literally saved my sanity lol as no one else had any real info on how to midi map that was the small but important detail which is what fixed my Impulse 200 from being semi-mapped meaning certain buttons like instant cue, were not working at all which is the reason I spent a fair bit of time trying to find a solution! and after watching this helpful vid it is now working 100% and the cool thing is. even on Traktor Pro 2, one can defo map the impulse 200 with that version of TSP , as the option for the TSI file is in the other controller section menu

hi, i did everything u did but when it comes to cue hearing, i cant listen to the song its coming even thoug my cue button is on, i can only hear the song its playing, having the master button also too. I used to use DJuced but it stopped working for no reason and i cracked Traktor pro 3 and then did your mapping, everything works fine just the cue doesnt work, could u help me please?

Unfortunately, I sold my 500 for new upcoming reviews .. so I can’t test out the issue but it sounds like maybe a mapping issue, or maybe try a re upload, check for updates, also check audio settings outputs for each channel & “headphones”. Check pre cueing setup in setting . Lots of KZbin video on headphones cueing setup for Traktor pro .. some videos are older but should be a similar setup process. Sorry I can’t be more helpful but at least there is a couple things to check out. Thanks.

Hello , the lights I don’t know how to fix but the midi controller should be able to be mapped correctly for the play, pause issue… in the settings .

Hello , I always update so normally I’m using the most current and available update of the Traktor Pro 3 software. I believe its 3.8.0 or 3.9.0 . I know 3.9.0 is the newest version. Thanks

Hey do you know if there's any resource that explains each function and it's respective mapping? if you go into the settings to view how the functions are mapped it takes understanding the mapping jargon but wondering if there's something that spells out each function in particular. thanks

it can be mapped, the bad thing is that the jog, scratch function and pitch bend are blocked, it doesn't let you map that from there to the rest if you can.

Thanks for watching and your question. I’ve used the Hercules 500 multiple times for gigs and I have had good success. Sound is 44.1 kHz and 24 bit which has worked fine for me . I thought the sound has worked good for me. Only issue I’ve had is the microphone input which I’ve used a separate mixer on occasions. Thanks .

Thanks so much for this video! Ironicaly, there is no any proper info provided in most of the resources. One question! Does it work "healthy" when powered just by the USB? You see, I'm asking, because to my big surprise - the S3 doesn't! I've just returned it back to the store. It switches on. But the level of the sound output is much lower and You hear almost nothing from the headphones output. Besides, the LED's don't glow. Thanks again for the video posted ❤

Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback. I’ve had no issues with my 500 via the Usb cable which is the only power source for the Hercules 500. It has powered the controller and sent the data well. I do use chroma USB cables .. but the stock cable work ok too for me. Reference: #Amazon affiliate link USB A-B amzn.to/47qnUeZ Sorry , I thought you talking about Hercules 500 not S3 .. Yes, the S3 likes to be plugged in via the wall adapter. Some usb output connections will not provide enough power . I always use the wall adapters/ plug for my Traktor controllers. Thanks.

@@Javier-fe7ii hello , first in settings … check the output sound card and make sure it’s your controller audio sound card . Then check the output monitoring settings.. once again use or set to your controller’s audio. Then check your cue buttons on the controller for channel cueing … hopefully it’s one those issues . @@rodrigomarenco3063 i had the same problem with the hercules inpulse 200 and it was because in the mapping the button mode was to 'Hold'. so go to settings, controller, search the sync function and verify that the mode is set to 'toggle'

Nice i have Hercules 500 and I want to mapping on rekordbox did you try if the driver for traktor is compatible on rekordbox if you import it on mapping! I try to mapping it but the rekordbox doesn’t mapping the jog wheel!

I have TRAKTOR pro 3 but It give problems and I am using virtual dj, because is very difficult to mapping multiple controllers in TRAKTOR. Also some times I have crashes and it does not work properly, native instruments give us a bad mapping and Hercules promised us a mapping that is not the same that we use in DJUCED. I think DJUCED works much better than TRAKTOR but does not allow me to mapp multiple controllers from different brands.... I recommend you to try this mapping and share your experience with me, because I thinking about to buy the new version of TRAKTOR pro 3 of this year and try again . Thanks !!! 👍

Thanks for watching and your question. I would say I used with Traktor pro 3 with some issues but it was manageable.. but I normally use with Virtual Dj with no issues , some of the mapping is different but it’s just a matter of getting used to the various software and how it’s mapped. Thanks.
