Just a 15 minute drive north from Oban, this attractive quiet beach, with shingle at one end and sand dunes at the other, is a short walk by a signposted footpath from Benderloch, where there is a car park, café and shops. There is another car park at the west end of the beach off the South Shian road.
Tralee Beach is the perfect destination if you are looking for a quick afternoon trip. It is a very sheltered beach, stretching round the head of the bay, with a shallow sea shelf, making it safe for kids to paddle and play in the shallows.
