Nydal, home of the deadliest tram system in Europe. That tram stop literally on the roundabout corner fed from a two lane bridge reducing to one lane is particularly diabolical. I have no doubt people be rear ending that thing every other day.

you don't know what is happening in polish city Wrocław trams derail almost every day, you can even bet at broker how many hours till next derail
@Mythriak_4 жыл бұрын
Indeed. Sadly, there are not enough modded tram tracks to suit all the needs from all the complex tram-street city needs. I think I got about 60 different tram road/tracks and I still see myself missing some junction types.

Nice city. Good job. Thumbs up. Many people are complaining about too many stops for tram, but i think it is ok. I have only small suggestions / only 2 things are bothering me ;) : 1st at 3:53 - no traffic engineer would design and allow a tram stop there (2 lane bridge into 1 and right after merging a tram stop). Not quite realistic. Stop at 4:11 behind roundabout is more realistic, but this tram doesn't stop there. Why? 2nd - Mentioned street from 4:11 till 4:54 you have 3 stops, but your tram stops only on the last one. You should merge those stops. For example leave the 1st behind roundabout and the 3rd at the end of the street. Same it is at the station, 6:18 stop for something else and then correct one at 6:25. Those are small things, details only. Really like your work :)
@bfapple4 жыл бұрын
Marian R I’d also say that tram stops on two lane roads should be staggered. Otherwise if trams stop in both directions, the whole road is blocked. E.g. 0:57

you should create a city based entirely on a transport route POV like this so that you can add huge detail along the transport line and leave the other areas blank where the camera can't see.

@@drerri Tons of US cities had them too, until the oil industry got governments to kill them in favor of buses. Even the small city near me (it's less than 70k people even today) had them.

If you look in any major (or even minor for that matter) European city, you can see them driving around. E.g. Amsterdam has a lot of great examples. I recommend de Leidsestraat: a very busy and narrow shopping street and a tram passes through it every 2 minutes or so. Some say it is even safer than all traffic separated.

Is it city policy for all vans to be painted blue, with red ladders and stripes?
@xxSSe7eNNxx4 жыл бұрын
The level of detail that you use on your cities is just amazing. Have been seeing this Nydal serie on the last few days and you just motivated me to go European and test new things. Please bring the other Tram lines, and one interesting thing that you could do is to show like a map of all your tram lines to see how they cover the map. Congratulations for the good work.
