Yup, stupendium does draw parallels with life while exploring a subject for a song. There's darker ones, goofy, j6st weird, and emotional ones too. My personal fav is called shine through, it's a more emotion based track based around the life is strange game. For a goofy suggestion I'd have to say it's between British summer jam (a non game based really early one video) nd a little room for improvement (house flipping sim game song).

If you still haven't gotten an answer to the question of how the conglomerate in the game can charge people for dying: Since everyone under their employ are slaves owned by the conglomerate, dying counts as vandalizing company property. And, yes, that is a fine your surviving friends, family members and co-workers (which are one and the same demographic) have to pay off. Or further indebt themselves to.

Yep, in TOW, “closest living relative” has been reframed to mean “closest (in location) living being to the dead body”, and are made to pay for the “destruction of company property”

If you die you debt is passed to your closest living relative. As in the closest person relative to you body when you are found. Aka the poor fucker who found you. And if you think that is bad if you kill yourself the colony is fined an estimate for all the money you would have made the company for your entire lifespan.

As someone who had an obsession with this game, it's just as evil as it sounds and the DLC is even worse. The Board, Spacers's Choice, Rizzo's and ect. have fucked up shit from starving citizens purposely to straight up extradition to human experimentation.
