Since 1898, the german city of Frankfurt (Oder) is served by electric trams. Today, there are five lines on a 20-kilometer network, though lines 3 and 5 don't run on weekends.
Other than eight low-floor cars of the Adtranz GT6M type, the rolling stock still consists of 15 Tatra KT4D trams. In contrast to most other german cities, they were only slightly modernised and kept their accelerator control and the classic doors. The KT4Ds will be replaced by new trams in the near future.
