PL: Tramwaj Duewag/Siemens NF6D (MGT6D) po raz pierwszy pojawił się w Łodzi w 1996 roku. Miasto przygotowywało się do zakupu 15 fabrycznie nowych niskopodłogowych tramwajów. W tym celu przedsiębiorstwo HAVAG z Halle (Saale) udostępniło ten tramwaj na testy. Jednak ostatecznie miasto Łódź zdecydowało się na zakup tramwaju Cityrynner firmy Bombardier. Były to wówczas pierwsze całkowicie niskopodłogowe tramwaje w Polsce. Historia zatoczyła koło i tramwaj NF6D ponownie pojawił się w Łodzi w 2017 roku. Tramwaj zakupiono z Bochum gdzie był użytkowany przez BOGESTRA numer inwentarzowy TW441. W Łodzi tramwaj otrzymał numer taborowy 1751. Po przeprowadzeniu testów i zebraniu opinii pasażerów MPK Łódź zdecydowało zakupić od przedsiębiorstwa transportowego z Bochum i Gelsenkirchen pozostałe 34 tramwaje tego typu. Obecnie dwa tramwaje tego typu przechodzą modernizację w zakładzie techniki MPK Łódź. Wagon o numerze taborowym 1868 będzie pierwszym NF6D, który wyjedzie na łódzkie tory po modernizacji. Główne zmiany to nowy napęd produkcji Enika, nowe pulpity motorniczego i okna z częścią przesuwną.
EN: The Duewag / Siemens NF6D (MGT6D) tram first appeared in Łódź in 1996. The city was preparing to purchase 15 brand new low-floor trams. After testing and collecting the opinions of passengers, MPK Łódź decided to purchase the remaining 34 trams of this type from a transport company from Bochum and Gelsenkirchen. Currently, two trams of this type are undergoing modernization at the MPK Łódź technical plant. The wagon with the rolling stock number 1868 will be the first NF6D to enter the Lodz tracks after modernization. The main changes are the new Enika drive, new driver's console and windows with a sliding part.
