Fire Vortex is now 10 years old! Definitely one of the best Trance tracks on Monstertcat! This part at 3:15 is still badass! This was honestly ahead of its time for 2013! I miss Mitchel Claxton on Monstercat!

I miss trance. Well, I miss Mitchell Claxton. I know he's released outside of Monstercat, but I liked his releases on here. No trance song has been released since Wuxia, and I don't remember if anyone OTHER than Claxton has released trance through Monstercat. Has it just fallen out of favor? EDIT: Apparently Eminence does primarily trance. Don't know how I didn't realize/see that.

it's tech trance. i've been doing this for 7 years, look up my stuff, you'll see i produce trance. i know my track sounds hard, it just came out that way. a main reason it isn't under Hard Dance is because i think Hard Dance is mainly for proper Hard Trance (145-148 bpm stuff), Hardstyle and Hardcore. FV is 136 bpm, has traditional tech trance saw stabs, and just isn't hard/fast enough to be Hard Dance, and I'm known for trance. sacrifices were made to bring blue back. you'll like my next one

Trance is from 0:00 to 2:55 ... Everything after that is just a bucket full of modern sounds which spoiled so beautiful trance sound. I like it from start to end, but I dont like this trend that everyone seem to enjoy. Dont put other genres together. Let the trance be trance, dubstep be dubstep and so on.

This may not sound like trance but it is. Most people (including monstercat) choose the genre by finding its bpm and the bpm of trance is like 135-145 so this is pretty much trance.

It's a genre similar to house music. It's usually 5~7 minutes long, 125~135 BPM and it also has quite a long history. Pretty awesome genre I should say, it's my personal favourite :D

It's generally more melodic than other types of EDM, but also focuses on having a lot of high and low points in the song, which is typically why trance songs are a bit lengthier than others. Also, like that other guy said, it's made for the purpose of being relaxing music. I personally find it to be great ambient music, when you just want to listen to music while you're doing something else. Also, I'd checkout Aly & Fila, they do a weekly trance podcast called Future Sound of Egypt.
