Nice job! I always thought they should have used the facelifted 1991 Formula or Trans Am for the 1991 made for TV movie Knight Rider 2000.

Yea I was disappointed when that came out. I think they had a version of the pontiac banshee prototype for KITT

@@PhoenixHavenGarage Yes they built a car that resembled the Banshee out of a Stealth but it looked nowhere near as good as the Banshee, and partly because GM wouldn't allow it. It was cool they made the TV movie but I was disapointed in it. Had they at least had KITT be a Trans Am for part of it, that would have helped

There used to be a concept of the new TA that hung on the wall inside the semi truck in the show. It was red and looked close to the eventual redesign. I think they always planned to upgrade bu the show probably lost steam by then.

That's awesome, I don't have a Transam, I grew up loving Knight Rider, Did you know they actually brought the show back, suppose to take place at a modern time, The car model they used was different, I wanna say it was a Transam, but the year probably close to the time the show came out. It just wasn't the same. I liked it but nothing like the original. either way the show sadly canceled. One Question. I might not have a Trans am but I was thinking of adding the lights anyway, actually fairly cheap on Amazon, actually what lead me here because I wanted to see how hard it was to install them to the car.

Yeah, I was in my teen years in the 90s when they revived the show. It used the banshee prototype that became the basis for the 4th Gen firebird. Then again another new version/show used a mustang I think. Your question didn't actually ask anything, did you have an install question?

Can u wire this light to a external switch inside the car so u can turn it on and off when u want to ,as i had 1 on a car i scraped uears ago and thats how i wired that 1 but i forgot to take it of the car when i scraped it ahhh and ive always wanted a nother 1

I've always wanted to do the knight rider/battlestar galactica light 😁 looks easy to install but my vehicle is a c300 benz, would you think it will still be easy to install? Thx in advance!

Try placing something small and thin in the same area under the hood and see if it clears 1st. Maybe a piece of foam or sponges. See if they indent or not when you close the hood?

@@PhoenixHavenGarage oh its fine with the hood, it will fit, sorry i was asking about the wire hook up, all i need from those wires are the positive and negative, ground and red to go directly to the battery or at least thats what im thinking

@@fnsmagic2011 Yes, you can go directly to the battery, or to a fuse under the dash with the red wire like I did. I plugged the wire in with the radio fuse

I just wanted it to turn on with the radio. I believe there is already an inline fuse.

I was thinking of using it a different way, can't use flashing lights on the car here in Canada, but was maybe thinking of using it on a timer, when the car goes off and is parked up, then after I dunno 5 minutes or so, it switched off to conserve battery power
