Poeple of different ages should have their own devisions. People from different countries should fight against each other. People with different body fat percentages should have their own devion. ... I'm exaggerating, yes. But you hopefully get the point. There are tons of differeces between humans, but the only one everyone cares about is something they have a personal vendetta against for no reason. as a trans person, I appreciate your take on this. Combat sports gets complicated when you don't drug test, and when you allow trans athletes, or both. The awesome thing, your student won and has a great coach. In my opinion, she should absolutely be allowed to talk about her experience in a combat sport with a transgender athlete. THIS SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED! In my opinion, if you're going to compete as a trans athlete, you're outing YOURSELF. So if someone else talks about, you've put yourself out there. Great job on your student, and thank you for the respectful take on it. If the competitor said "good luck" in the proper spirit, cool, but if she said it as if "I know I'm going to win" then she knows she doing something sheisty.

As a man who has done physical sports my whole life I 200% oppose these athletes crossing teams like this. When I was in high school, I mostly played sports with men. But one day in recess a girl wanted to play along, playfully not for sports. I wasn’t really paying much attention and didn’t really think I was being aggressive. But then later she was crying because apparently I hurt her arm a lot when I pushed her to the side. It was this moment where I learnt how severely a physically fit man can hurt a girl if we’re not careful. Putting politics aside, I believe that if we keep allowing this to happen we are just putting people in danger. It’s stupid. It’s not fair, sports is supposed to be fair.

@@kimecosx obviously in a training environment everyone is encouraged to train with everyone. All body types and weights. I’m speaking specifically about competition. Especially with striking. Women do not have the muscular-skeletal structure to take a punch from a man. Anyone that has ever sparred should certainly be able to tell the difference between striking a woman and a dude the same size. If there is someone that disagrees that person is lying or they don’t know what they are talking about and are dangerous as a training partner. Competing is not street. Competition is agreeing to mock-combat that is bordered and restrained by an agreed upon rule set that generally makes things as objectively fair as possible. . This constrains against death. A biological man vs a biological woman is not. Congratulations to the girl above. But just as likely that dude could have simply scooped her up. Slammed her on the mat, injuring her and he himself getting DQd (IF that was part of rule set to begin with) and then what? You have an injured woman.

@@kimecosxIn the “real world”, any man disgusting enough to go out and harm a woman would me more than willing to punch the shit out of her too. In a professional environment it’s dangerous.
