To celebrate 100 years since the official start of construction of the Trans Australian Railway between Port Augusta South Australia and Kalgoorlie Western Australia, the Australian Rail Association organised a special passanger train to operate from Adelaide to Port Augusta show casing the latest in Australia's locomotives at the present time. Operating on the trainof 5 passanger cars were 9305 a UGL Rail built C44aci model locomotive representing Pacific National, 6022 a UGR Rail built C44aci model locomotive representing QR National, CSR004 a CSR Ziyang built SDA1 model locomotive representing SCT Logistics, G512 a Clyde Engineering Built JT26c-2ss model locomotive representing Chicago Freight Car Leasing Australia, GWU006 a UGL Rail built C44aci model Locomotive representing Genesse & Wyoming Australia and NR18 an A. Goninan & Co Ltd. built Cv40-9i model locomitve owned and operated by Pacific National but representing Great Southern Rail the owner and operators of the Indian Pacific and The Ghan passanger trains. Here the train is seen at the begining of its journey in the Adelaide suburb of Dudley Park
