The Hemlo discovery was amazing, because the discovery occurred right beside the highway, and was somehow overlooked for so many years by geologists/prospectors

There is a "sucker zone" located right beside the highway. Those familiar with the geology would recognize the zone highlighted by a red arrow in the video. But, you are correct. Its history is amazing. There are many amazing chapters of that story. The persistance by geogist, David Bell - an innovative exploration model guided exploration. The financing from Murray Pezim. Something like 75+ diamond drills were completed before really interesting results surfaced. Some say it took 140+ diamond drill holes before the reality of a mine potential was indicated. 140+ is astounding! It is unconventional gold mineralization - so different from the type found on the Canadian Shield. Right beside the trans canada highway. Close to 100 years of exploration. And there was the legal chapter.

What your video is lacking, in the construction segment, is video of 14 workers standing around, with 2 of them actually working, lol...

LOL. The crews were busy in May...perhaps to get a jump of the season before the tourists. The segment around Kenora was one of two or three that must have been 5 - 10 km in lenght. Or so it felt!
