It's impressive to see just how big the dams are. Google maps just don't show any details at all.

I was saying the same thing today. Plus those are just the ones that were accessible from here. I'm certain there must have been others down some of the other access roads.

Thanks for the video. I’m leaving August 15th 2022. We’re you able to get fuel after Mirage Outfitters? What sort of mileage do the Strom get, average speed. I could go on forever thanks again!!

I didn't get any fuel after Mirage but there was another KZbinr who managed to get some in Brisay. Here's a link to his video kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5yYm2ywiMtkhsU I have heard of people sometimes getting fuel at the water aerodrome in Caniapiscau and there is another Outfitter in Caniapiscau but I'm not sure if/when they are open. Either way I am not sure they are reliable but may help out if you find yourself in a jam. The v-strom has a 20L tank with a range of just over 400km. I took two additional 10L gas cans so I had a range of over 800km but I had planned on doing the south branch from Brisay as well but decided against it. You will need a range of 616km to get from Mirage to the end but that's without any diversions whatsoever along the way. I have another playlist of the entire trip from Barrie ON to the end of the Trans-Taiga. My time on the Trans-Taiga is from episode 9-12 and they should answer a lot of your additional questions but please feel free to ask if there is anything else you can think of. Here's a link to my playlist kzbin.info/aero/PLbwy1tTmDjNG_BWWcC1G0aHBSmOaJkky7 I should have another video published Thursday with some tips from my experience and I'm hoping some others will comment with their own experiences.

Just a quick correction to what I said in the previous reply. It's 616km from Mirage to the end and then back to Mirage. Sorry for any confusion. Cheers!

@David Brackett You were asking about possible campsites along the reservoir so here is an uncut look at the entire road along the reservoir with the many sites available. cheers!

I'm doing the Road in August 2023. I actually think I'm going to bring a can of paint and paint-over that stupid graffiti. Look forward to the entire experience. I'll let you know....

Please do let me know how it goes! Hopefully I'll have some time soon to start the Trans Labrador series I rode last summer/fall. Cheers!!

@@jchitt3326 Good luck to both of us. Doing lots of planning and research. I did the James Bay Road back in Sept. 2001. Went to Chisasibi and Radission. I suspect I'll see more people this time. Saw hardly anyone back then.
