we are planning a trip on the Tiaga road for 207 Overland.. looks to be an adventure!! and tes tthe limits of my fuel MPG's... looking at options to extend my range, and found the easiest is the Fast-flo 15 gallon gas container.. and a shaker siphon hose.... should net me at least 600 miles total range...

207 Overland eh? I may need to look into that since that's my neck of the woods. I grew up in Rumford but now live in the Windham area. Thanks for watching!

Hey! I’m planning it also but not for this year. You can go off pavement for a long run east of the James Baie Road, but it would probably take more time.

Thanks for watching. We'll see if I can actually sneak it in this year with all the fires. Will be monitoring situation and making call the week before.

@@ejdoeseverything an overlander that comes from this part of the continent and talk about Québec always interest me 😉. If it’s not this year, it’s more time to plan 👍🏻

Damn...that seems like you're pushing some long days. I did the Dempster last summer, and drove it too quickly (4 days round trip, should have done at least 6 days). Planning on doing this in the future, but it does seem like there are less options for side excursions on this road. I am hoping I can bring my kayak and get some quality fishing done though. Thanks for making this. Very helpful.

Glad you found it helpful and good luck with your trip. We ended up postponing due to the fires, but looking forward to getting another shot at it next year!

I doing the Trans Taiga, August 11 - 20. I've done a lot of research. Going during the new moon -- hoping to see the aurora. I'm going slow. I drove to Radisson and Chisasibi back in Sept. 2001. It was pretty chilly -- below 32F and night. * Bring plenty of Canadian cash. It will come in handy if you break down and need assistance. The random guy who helps you won't take a credit or debit card. Be prepared to drastically alter your plans -- be flexible. Bring fishing equipment -- anyone can catch a trophy trout there. There IS gas at Brisay but only between 7 and 7:30 AM. It's for the Hydro Quebec workers but they will sell you gas. You'll need it. Be of the mindset that it is not essential to make it to the end. You'll only make it to the end of a road no cares about. The last 50 miles are rough. Check out Canadian adventurer Justin Barbour's videos. He's the real deal. You'll learn plenty from him. Good luck. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6SQqXd3eLd6oqc

Just got back from my 4th motorcycle trip on the Trans Tiaga from Western Mass. You are missing the longest part of the road by taking the North branch from Brisay. The North road is 50 miles but the South road is 70 miles from Brisay. After just completing both I have to say the South is even more remote and has much better scenery. Good Luck, that road will tear your Toyota apart.

Oh wow - how was the smoke? We cancelled our drive up a couple weeks back because we were concerned over the fires and couldn't reach the outfitter.

Hello! Still on the fence as I'm waiting for a couple of other things to line up before I can commit to it. If I do go up, it will be over the labor day weekend in September. Thanks for watching!
