Trans Vlog Ep 158 Gender Dysphoria Bombardment (9/18/2023)

I have decided to go back to school, and all the forms you have to fill out ask you to check boxes for male and female, for some of them, in attempts to be more modern, even sex male or female, and then gender male or female, and yet, all of that is just massively difficult for me, who was born intersex. On top of that, I have had to provide forms for my name change, explain the changes, and had to fill out a huge amount of stuff trying to get scholarships and grants and so on, even besides explaining to the school. I also moved the year they want documents from, from my name change, so I have to provide them before and after. It is just, a lot, while also dealing with still going to appointments and still hoping for surgery, which feels further and further away, and just, trying so hard to better my life while dealing with hurdle after hurdle. The gender dysphoria has been so bad I have been really struggling to even function parts of some days.

After some soul searching, and discussion with my therapist, this vlog came to be. Some of it may be triggering, especially to trans/intersex folks, as this is a vlog about my coming to terms with, and dealing with, trans/intersex issues, as well as PTSD to childhood trauma to current events, raw emotions, so on, but I try not to ever be too graphic. Also, sorry the audio quality is not great on these, but it was important to me to capture myself without editing.
